Vision and Mission

Our Purpose

We exist to bring glory to God.

More than anything we want to be able to describe ourselves in the words of Jesus

I have brought you glory on earth by completing the work you gave me to do.

John 17:4

Our Mission

Our mission is to make disciples who will grow in their faith in Christ, will live out that faith in the whole of life and will serve Him in both our church and community.

We believe according to Matthew 28:18-20 that we are to be intentional in the making of disciples. Being a disciple is a dynamic experience, learning form Jesus how to be like him throughout the whole of life. Being a disciple is an integrated experience, learning how to bring the whole of life under the Lordship of Jesus. Being a disciple is a community experience, both by meeting in community and by serving the community as salt and light.

Our Values

We seek to follow the example of Christ and to reflect and aspire to his values, enabling us to fulfill his purpose to keep pointing to Christ.

When we keep Christ at the centre we shall let his grace flow. Like Christ we shall place a high priority on people and we shall seek to become a community of grace where people are welcomed and accepted, and where people are encouraged to mature into the image of Christ expressing their gifts in serving him and making him known.

Our Vision

Our vision is to become a vibrant community of God’s people, seeking His glory and to extend His Kingdom.

We want to become the kind of congregation where the presence of God is undeniable, where we are excited about our relationship with God, where the leaders are encouraging and they enable everyone to use their gifts to make God’s grace available to all, a congregation which is having an impact upon the community as salt and light and where people feel accepted and safe.

Our Aims

Our aim is to see growth in our relationships, our service and our walk with the Lord.

We have set ourselves three targets for which to aim. To deepen and strengthen our relationships with one another. To see more members utilising their gifts in support of Christ’s kingdom and to see our members grow in their faith in Christ through active involvement in prayer and Bible study.
