Greetings from Belfast where Rachel arrived yesterday and Hannah arrives today. And then it is off to Ravenhill to Stand Up For the Ulstermen!
Since I last logged in we have been busy. On Sunday last we made our day down a familiar path to Clough and Seaforde in Co Down. Back to the farming community where we lived, where the girls were born and where I ministered from 1985-94 before coming to Kilfennan. It was great to meet “old” friends, to see children now as adults, to see parents in the faces of their children and sad also to miss many familiar faces.
Through this week we have attended 3 more carol services – at Union Theological College and The Assembly Buildings in Belfast and in St Coloumb’s Cathedral. On Saturday evening Karen and I are travelling to Ballina for 3 services on Sunday in Ballina, Ballymote and Sligo. When we make it home (in the wee small hours) our Christmas break will begin – just time for me to do some shopping, I hope.
On Monday evening we are going to the Panto – “Oh no, you@re not!” “Oh yes we are!” Then on Wednesday we are looking forward to being at home with the Kilfennan family to celebrate the Saviour’s Birth. See you there.
Many thanks for your continued prayers and interest in this very busy, exciting and rewarding year of office.
